Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 28, 2026

Most privacy policies are long because there is a lot to admit. This one is short because there is nothing to admit. Cowl has no accounts, no analytics, and no file on you.

What we collect

Nothing. Not as a slogan. As an inventory:

  • No accounts. There is no sign-up, no login, no KYC. You never tell us your name, your email, or who you are, because there is nowhere to type it.
  • No analytics. No trackers, no pixels, no fingerprinting, no third-party scripts watching you read. Fonts and assets are served from our own deployment, so not even a font request leaks to someone else.
  • No cookies. This site sets none for visitors.
  • No email list. You will notice there is no subscribe box. That is not a design gap.

There is no database of you to breach, sell, or lose. The strongest way to protect your data is to not have it. So we don’t.

Your keys never touch us

The protocol runs on your device. Your keys are created and held there, your ZK proofs are built there, and your shielded balance is readable there and nowhere else. Nothing in the software sends any of it to us, and we have nothing that could receive it. We couldn’t build a file on you if we wanted to.

The chain is public. Your edge isn’t.

Everything on a public chain is broadcast to everyone, forever. That is the problem Cowl exists to fix: inside the shielded pool, your size, your timing, and your balance stop being public reading material. That protection comes from the protocol itself, running on your machine. It never depends on trusting us with your data, because we never have it.

Links that leave this site

We link out to GitHub, X, and other services. Their sites, their rules. What they do with your visit is between you and them.

If you email us

Then we have your address and what you wrote. We use it to reply, we share it with no one, and we delete it if you ask. That is the complete list of personal information Cowl can ever hold about you, and you have to hand it to us yourself.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes. Since it is mostly a list of things we don’t do, expect it to get shorter, not longer.
